Rusted Construction

Rusted Construction was a collaborative work  with Linda McLean  for a window installation for the 2013 Castlemaine State Festival.

Rusted Construction  is a celebration of some chosen elements, both manmade and natural that many would consider no longer useful and are now disregarded detritus. However these artists have juxtaposed these found objects into an integrated whole for our imagination – maybe mountains, monsters, high-rise buildings, our universe or just random shapes that we can scan and wonder about. When I look at the  skilled workmanship I  marvelled at the eyes wide open for finding that object or shape that maybe useful, the overall design, symmetry that fits the space so unapologetically and it all worked for me as a resolved, aesthetic whole.
